Tour Plan
Embark on a breathtaking 13-day journey through Kenya’s most iconic landscapes with Mamu Travels. Your adventure begins in Nairobi, Kenya’s bustling capital, where you’ll arrive and be welcomed by our friendly team. Depending on your arrival time, you’ll have the opportunity to visit the Giraffe Centre or Karen Blixen Museum before an overnight stay in a comfortable city hotel.
On Day 2, head to the Amboseli National Park, famed for its large elephant herds and stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Enjoy a game drive en route to your lodge, and settle in for two days of thrilling wildlife safaris, bird watching, and cultural encounters with the Maasai community.
Day 4 takes you to the remote and less-traveled Tsavo West National Park, where dramatic scenery and diverse wildlife await. Explore the Shetani Lava Flows and Mzima Springs, where hippos and crocodiles dwell in crystal-clear waters. Enjoy game drives and overnight stays in the heart of the wild.
From Tsavo, travel on Day 6 to Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary, a private reserve known for its tree-top lodges and unique night game drives. Spend your evening under the stars, watching nocturnal wildlife from the safety of your elevated lodge.
Next, on Day 7, head to the vibrant Lake Naivasha in the Rift Valley. Enjoy a serene boat ride past pods of hippos and marvel at the birdlife on Crescent Island. On Day 8, visit Hell’s Gate National Park, one of the few parks where visitors can walk or cycle amidst grazing zebras and towering cliffs.
Your journey continues to the breathtaking Lake Nakuru National Park on Day 9, where you’ll witness flocks of flamingos, endangered rhinos, and elusive leopards. A game drive offers close encounters with both predators and herbivores in this compact yet rich ecosystem.
On Day 10, head to the crown jewel of Kenyan safaris, the Maasai Mara Game Reserve. Spend the next three days immersed in game drives across the endless savannah, tracking the Big Five and, if lucky, witnessing a dramatic wildebeest river crossing (seasonal). Visit a Maasai village to learn about the rich traditions and customs of this iconic tribe.
Conclude your safari on Day 13 with a scenic drive back to Nairobi. Enjoy a farewell lunch before being transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your flight home or onward journey.
