El Karama Ranch is a 15,000 acre cattle and wildlife ranch, situated in the heart of Laikipia, between Mount Kenya and the Great Rift Valley. The ranch has been home to Guy Grant and his family since 1963. The bandas are situated at a safe distance from the rivers edge and look across to a salt lick where wildlife often congregate in the early morning and evening.

Guests have the choice of a comfortable private banda complete with verandas for star-gazing. We also have a stone rondavel and the family sized upstream cottage for larger groups. Each banda/cottage has a spacious ensuite stone bathroom and face onto the river and a salt lick making them ideal for game watching.
